I won't rule it out completely, but Web 2 companies have business models that are counter to Web 3. It's hard for me to imagine any company built on owning/selling user data and judged on quarterly performance making the kind of sustained pivot/investment necessary to have a meaningful impact on Web 3. I think the winners will be Web 3 native.
How about web2 incumbents (ie Meta) making game changing inroads into web3?
